Cece Chan is a New York–based cinematographer born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated from Tisch School of the Arts in 2020 with a BFA in Film and Television. Her work spans features, shorts, documentaries, and music videos. She is a 2023-2024 ASC Vision Mentee and a member of the ICF+C.
Her work has premiered at Tribeca Film Festival (The Rebirth; Kisses & Bullets), Raindance Film Festival (Seána), as well as Academy Award qualifying festivals such as Austin Film Festival (Magdalena, Te Amo), and her work has been recognized for Best Cinematography (Birdsong / NFFTY; Kisses & Bullets / Manchester Film Festival).
She is a third culture kid raised by Chinese immigrant parents, and is most drawn to stories with unique cultural perspectives. Working primarily in the narrative world, she has shot in Lebanon, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Brazil, The Netherlands, Germany, Canada, and Japan.
